Operate · Facilities & Transition Management

Handover is not the finish line.

We plan the cutover, activate the building, train your operators and hand over the asset data, so the space works the day people walk in and keeps working long after we leave.

Why it matters.

01

Opening day is fixed

Flights are scheduled, shifts are staffed and leases start on a date that does not move. The facility has to be ready for operations, not just finished.

02

Operators inherit everything

Your team will run this building for decades. If they get boxes of paper and a one-hour walkthrough, small problems become expensive ones.

03

Cutovers are where risk peaks

Moving live systems from old to new is the most dangerous night of the job. It needs a script, a rehearsal and a way back.

Our approach

How we hand it over.

  1. 01

    Transition planning during construction

A transition lead maps every department, move, IT cutover and owner vendor activity against the construction schedule.

  2. 02

    Cutover MOPs and rehearsals

Every live cutover gets a written method of procedure, a rehearsal with your operations team and a rollback plan before the night it happens.

  3. 03

    Day-in-the-life testing

We run mock operations with your staff to find problems with workflow, access, signage and systems before the public arrives.

  4. 04

    Hands-on operator training

Your engineers learn each system from the people who installed and commissioned it, at the equipment, with recorded sessions to return to.

  5. 05

Asset data and the first year

Asset data is collected as equipment is installed. We stay engaged through warranty and return for an eleven-month walkthrough.

What you receive.

Every engagement is scoped to the project. These are the core outputs owners can expect.

In practice · Airport Operations Center & Baggage Controls

Cut over overnight. Every flight kept moving.

A new operations center and a baggage controls upgrade had to go live without stopping an airport that never closes. Each cutover had a written MOP, a rehearsal with the airport’s operations team and a rollback plan. Operators trained on the new systems weeks ahead, so the switch happened overnight and the morning bank of flights moved on time.

Questions owners ask us.

When should transition planning start?

About a year before opening for complex facilities like operations centers and hospitals, and at least six months ahead for most others.

Do you work with our facilities team or replace it?

We work with it. Our job is to set your operators up to run the facility well, not to take over their role.

Can you deliver asset data for our maintenance system?

Yes. We agree the format and fields at the start of construction and collect the data as equipment is installed, so it is complete at handover.
