A live-events arena with a center-hung LED board, a fiber backbone and a broadcast hub that went live on opening night.
An arena opening is a hard date with a crowd attached. This one also had a center-hung LED board, a fiber backbone serving cameras, ticketing and wireless, and a broadcast hub that had to put a clean signal on the air from the first event. The rigging, the power and the network all had to be finished while the bowl was still being built around them.
The approach.

- 01
The big pick, planned to the inch
The center-hung board was assembled on the floor and lifted on a scripted pick with load cells reading every hoist point.
- 02
One backbone for everything
Single-mode fiber rings tie the broadcast hub, cameras, ticketing, Wi-Fi and the board together, with every strand tested and labeled.
- 03
Bowl and systems in step
Seating, catwalks and cable tray were sequenced in one pull plan, so low-voltage crews never waited on a lift or a finished ceiling.
- 04
Test events before the real one
Two full test events ran the board, sound, broadcast feeds and gates under real crowd conditions before opening night.
The outcome.
“Twelve thousand people only see the show. We spent two years on the parts they never look at.”
